Mark Spohn serves as a Vice President for Sperry Van Ness Real Estate Services, Inc. specializing in the sale and leasing of office and retail property in Southern California with 30 years of commercial real estate experience. He has secured a total sales & leasing volume in excess of $200 million in commercial real estate transactions.
Prior to joining SVN, Spohn was the Owner/Broker of Spohn Commercial Real Estate Services in Los Angeles for 20 years, primarily serving the financial services industry. Long standing client relationships included Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of America, Unitrin, Inc. and private investors. From 1979 until 1987 he was Vice President and Southern California Manager of Corporate Real Estate for Bank of America. He was responsible for all Bank real estate requirements in Southern California, which included commercial real estate acquisitions and sales, property management, marketing surplus bank owned properties and corporate relocation projects. While at Bank of America, he represented the Bank's interest in the $620M sale of the Arco Towers to Shuwa Investments in 1986, and the lease back of 800,000 sf of office space in the building.
Spohn is currently a board member of the Palm Springs Economic Development Corporation, and has served as a Board Member of the Children Affected by Aids Foundation. He is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and completed an executive program in the Graduate School of Business at the University of Southern California. He holds a California real estate broker’s license.
